Summer Fries
SUMMER FRIES
I bet you’re wondering what Summer Fries is…
Summer Fries is a leadership program for all Imitators. This year, because those assisting with VBS need to be 18 or older, Summer Fries gives the youth, (7-12 graders) an opportunity to experience VBS while leading out in a major way. The Imitators will be in charge of leading both the opening and closing programs each day of VBS. That will include songs, helping the younger kids to memorize the memory verses, skits etc. You will still get to enjoy the good ole snack time and crafts. It starts July 12 @ 9am.
The Daily Schedule
9am–Everyone Arrives
9:15am–The opening program starts (Songs, Memory Verse, etc.)
9:30am–VBS kids separate/Imitators begin practicing for closing program
11:00am–Imitators are ready for closing program/Snack time/Crafts
11:30am–The closing program starts (Songs, skit, etc.)
12:00pm–VBS is over.

Lake Day
LAKE DAY

This coming Sunday, June 27, the Imitators are going to Cherokee Lake! We’ll leave at 9 am from the church. It takes about an hour to get there, and we’ll ski, wakeboard, tube etc. till lunch. At around 1pm, we’ll stop to eat some haystacks (the food will be provided), and then we’ll continue enjoying the lake till 4 or 5pm when we head back to Greeneville.
Remember to bring your towel. Please wear modest, one-piece swimsuits. If you have any questions, contact Pastor Matt.

Tator Salad this Friday!!!
Tator Salad
This Friday night, we’ll be having Tator Salad. I’m pretty excited about this one because it’s been a little while since we’ve had it. The goal is to have some really good “eats” and a whole lot of fun with all the IMITATORS. It starts @ 7pm and goes to 9pm. I’d love to see some faces there that don’t usually come. See you there!

NO TATOR SALAD!
It’s been a long time since you got an update… This week is a special one because we have our church retreat out at The Oaks from Friday evening through Sabbath. This was an oversight on my part when I scheduled Tator Salad this Friday night. So, because I don’t want to run competition, we will NOT BE HAVING TATOR SALAD this week. Enjoy the church retreat!

This week, there are two youth events that I wanted to remind you about. The first is rec night that will be happening this Thursday night from 6-8pm. We’ll play some basketball and other sports for two hours at the GAA gym. The other is Tator Salad. That’ll be on Friday night from 7-9pm at the youth room at the church. If you have any questions, let me know!

Youth Festival
It’s almost time to go to Youth Festival! I’m pretty excited. We have 19 Imitators that have signed up, and I think it’ll be a great trip. There are a few details you need to know. I have created a document that might help out with any questions you have. You can access the itinerary by clicking HERE. Also, you will need to make sure to have a permission slip filled out. You can print one by clicking HERE. Hopefully most of your questions will be answered. If not, don’t hesitate to call or email me. I’ll see you at 5pm on Friday!

Tator Salad
I know that a lot of the Imitators are gone this weekend to a music festival down at Southern, but I wanted to make sure that everyone knew that we ARE STILL HAVING TATOR SALAD for those that can come this Friday, February 19, 2010. We will NOT watch the video that we made at the previous Tator Salad, but instead, we’ll spend some time watching a Nooma and then discussing it. There will be some snacks to enjoy. I hope we have a good crowd there even though some may be gone this weekend. See you there!

Roller Skating Recap…
Twenty Seven Imitators showed up for roller skating this past Saturday night. I wasn’t sure how many we would have, but it ended up being quite a success. Events where there doesn’t have to be a lot of planning or preparation are the best, and this one fit the bill. I was surprised to see that everyone left before the time was up, and I ended up leaving about 10:40pm. Thank you to all the parents that stayed up to transport your kids back and forth. And, a special thanks to all those parents that stayed and helped supervise. That was a relieving! Thanks for your support of the Youth program here at our church.
